Dacia - Replacement Parts - Are they expensive?

I have not heard of Dacia before but ithey are so cheap that I am thinking of buying one. Because they are so rare - does this mean that any repairs or replacement parts will be expensive later on in its life?

Dacia are Romanian, and owned by Renault. They used to be known for the Dacia Duster, which was a cheap & cheerful 4x4 from the 1980s.

By all accounts, the latest incarnation of the Duster is quite good, having a Nissan 4 wheel drive system.

No idea about spares, never seen a Dacia dealership.

I have, combined with a Renault dealer. I can't think why spares would be expensive.

Most cars you buy now would still be under warranty anyway. They aren't that rare, I see two or three every day.

I saw a dozen one day last week, although they were all on a car transporter :D.

Theyre that cheap you could buy two and break one for spares. If you can source renault parts, you'll get dacia parts.

Some parts cost a little more. Brake pads etc are £30 where you can get Ford or Vauxhall ones for half that from the same manufacturer (pagid)

Body parts and trim maybe an issue.

We've just bought a Dacia Logan (with a 5 year warranty). You get a lot of car for the money and we're very pleased with it. Getting 65-70mpg with the 1.5 diesel. Let me know if you want any info about this model...

Dacias are basically obsolescent Renaults, but there should be no problem with parts for many years to come.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • Aint nothing wrong with a Dacia if you want to get to A to B with no frills. Not a bad motor at all, and as others has said - piggy back of Renault.

Parts are cheap, cheerful and plentiful.

What I will say about riding in a Dacia Duster, Logan and Sandero - they aint the most comfortable cars.
