My internet is working ok. The Guest network is also ok on someone elses laptop I set up. Think problem started when I set up this Guest network. Now the router will not allow me into altering the settings. Whats more my Now Tv box won't connect up anymore.

The router is a Netgear DGN2200. I tried connecting the laptop to the router with a LAN cable (instead of wirelessly), and it said something like: access denied. On wifi it says: "This webpage is not available".

So how can I sort this?

Reset the router which will put it back to its default settings and you could start all over again

    "
    1. How do I reset the router?
Press and hold reset button on the bottom of the router for 1 second to reset the router. Press the reset button for more than 6 seconds until the Power LED flashes red to trigger a reset to factory default settings."

Thanks. But there is no reset buttons, only 2 at the front. Bit scared, in case I can't get the connection back.

Are you sure there isn't a recessed button on the bottom (underside) of the router?

  • Thanks all. The reset place was a pin hole on the back, next to the on/off button. Sorted.
