Not sure where to stick this one so I thought this would be most appropriate as I'm looking for a particular website!

A little while ago I signed up to a website that allowed me to search for my data online. Basically it finds accounts in my name, with my email address, address etc. I remember the website being very purple!

It was very useful but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called? Anyone know? Thanks! :mad:

Finds what sort of accounts? Websites like this one?

Handy info for a scammer to collect. People tend to use the same or similar usernames and passwords.

Erm sort of! It found my name on the internet I think and then possible accounts linked to it to help clear your identity from the web.

Help clear your identity? That only seems to apply to accounts you setup anyway. Dont you remember what you signed upto?

Do what i do. Make a new email account for every site you sign upto.

Or is you think the sites are trustworthy have one email for a several sites. And a new one for any possible junk ones.

Comparison sites for insurance etc needs one for each company. I forget which one spammed me but that email account still gets spam from all over the place.
