If I'd planned to do the event I'd have trained slightly more than the 1500m/750m swims on Thursday last week and the 2 mille swim on Saturday.....the upside of such swim focussed training is that I took 2 mins off my 750m time, and promptly lost it in transition trying to get out of my wetsuit on the move.
When I say recovering I mostly mean sitting in the bath with a pint of wine, then getting out to drink more wine before hypothermia set in.
This evening's plans involve more wine. Some Ben and Jerry's, and chatting to the bloke when he gets home from his trip. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

You'll certainly have to practice your stripping rather more.scubaangel wrote: »When I say recovering I mostly mean sitting in the bath with a pint of wine, then getting out to drink more wine before hypothermia set in.
With plenty bubblebath I hope.scubaangel wrote: »This evening's plans involve more wine. Some Ben and Jerry's, and chatting to the bloke when he gets home from his trip.

So I had a moment of madness at work earlier.
I'm now doing another tri on 18th Sept.....the bloke has offered to come along and be wetsuit zipper up slave, I swear everytime I speak to him I find out omething else that makes me wonder how sane he is - he actually want's to help me put on one of the least flattering items of clothing I own. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'm sure he'll be happy to squeeze you into it..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Morning/afternoon off so am spending it doing housework.
By housework I mean having a lie in, having a quick hoover of the really dusty corners, and shopping online at wiggle and SIS....
Also checked my work 'purse' to see where my car key was and found that I actually earned more in tips last night than I thought, having swopped some of the change for a note out of the till when I was running low I've also put some nice foldy money in to the big sealed tin, still got about £8 in the purse though so I've change if it's needed at the main job when we're open at the weekend. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

The orders from SIS and wiggle arrived yesterday. Unfortunately I also went to Ikea (came home with another shark, and some stuff I actually planned to buy), and drank a pint of Hogfather too many (evidence being how rough I felt all day!).
Currently trying to decide if I can get away with being 15 minutes or so late for work next Saturday so I can go watch the bloke run a 10k race at the local forest. I'll pretty much only be able to watch him finish then have to head off but if he wants to come to the tri with me I think it'd be nice to be able to go support him at his event. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Have decided to alter the rota so I can go to watch the bloke run, and as long as he runs within a minute or two of his road PB we have time for a coffee afterwards if we're quick....
Should be seeing him Thursday night, but my girl is coming to stay before her interview so might have to shuffle the priority list.
In the meantime another early shift at the main job tomorrow so I need to be going to bed shortly. Then a very early at the hotel on Thursday. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

The canadian, she's interviewing at a university on the south coast.
He just thinks I'm nuts for putting a 12 hour shift on the rota (but its the best way to make sure the event in the evening is fully set up per our instructions).
Should really be asleep now but had a nap earlier so now not tired which is annoying! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
