Levis belts and car boot sales!

Options
Ok need to pick the brains of the car boot champions on here!

I'm doing a busy LONDON car boot sale next week. I have a quality of genuine Levis men's belts. I wanted to sell them around the £10 - £12 pound mark.

My question is will I get that sort of money per belt at a car boot sale?

Thanks in advance, the average retail price per belt is £20.

It really depends on which bit of London. I'm East and here people will assume they are fakes and expect to pay more like £5 a go, however, I understand that at some of the trendier southwest car boots the prices are much much higher.

  • I think most customers at car boot sales are looking for things dirt cheap, though I've seen some "car boot sales" that are really markets full of traders with proper stalls and vans. You'd probably have more success on eBay with your belts.
  • Many thanks much appreciated.

I'll give it a try. I closed my ebay account far far to much hassle not worth it.

I doubt you'd get more that a couple of quid - I know I can buy a decent leather belt in a shop for a tenner so why would I "risk" one of yours - car boot sales aren't exactly renowned for selling genuine gear or honouring sales of good act.....

Personally I would be very unlikely to pay 50% of new at a car boot sale.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

  • Yes all very true.

And so many good fakes around.
