Car Insurance - Isolated Fit

Hi everyone
I had an isolated fit/seizure in July. So I stopped driving.
I've since had an MRI, CT, EEG and ECG, and everything is fine.
After a mandatory six-months without a car I'm getting my license back in a few weeks.
So...seeing as the tests found nothing, do I have to tell my new insurance company?
Thanks for any help.

I would have thought so as there's usually a question about telling DVLA about health issues. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thanks. I wonder if I have to volunteer the information or only tell them if they specifically ask. I don't want to pay more if it's been proven there's nothing wrong.

In my experience insurers don't penalise you for having a disability, I'm on a 3 yr licence and stopped driving for 2 yrs . Found an insurer who recognised my previous Ncb Churchill and paid less than £150 to insure my car. Best to be upfront .0

A new Act came into force on 6th April 2013 which results in you having to answer question correctly. You no longer need to volunteer information in relation to consumer insurance - it is up to the insurer to ask questions.
