Okay! okay! we already know the preganancy wasn't planned.
  • I think the coil spring is away and quoted over £200 to repair and replace the tyre. Sorry my finance started August 2012 not 2011 as I originally stated. I have 19 payment left to make, not 19 already made.
  • To VT the car it needs to be on good condition. So sat at the roadside with a broken spring and knackered tyre isnt anygood.
  • I've looked up some stuff, and it suggests that they would take the car back and I would be held responsible for the cost of repairs. Which would be less than what i still have left to pay.

Personally, I would fix it and return it in good condition. Better to be in control of the cost than leave it up to them to bill you.

They will be you a disproportionate amount to have the repairs done. It would be much cheaper for you to repair the car than have them collect it, repair it and bill you.

They could give you main dealer repair prices.. It wont be one spring to replace but a pair as thats the wise thing to do.

Also there is a risk that some balljoints may also need replacing. Sometimes they dont like being undone. And the pin may turn when they remove and refit them.

A spring is probably less than £40. £60 or less to fit it. I had a pair of springs done and it cost £120. parts and labour.

Due to the weather. It was just starting to snow and i dont have a garage i paid that instead of getting pneumonia.

  • I have paid to get car repaired, cost me £200. However on it's return it was making a noise. I phoned the garage and they told me the exhaust clips are away and to take it back today so that's more money. However we were originally quoted £160 then they went ahead and did repairs without asking and charging me an extra £40 so my partner is going to speak to them as there was no noise before it went in. It's never ending lol.
