Had to leave university for depression, any posibility of being funded to try again?

After my third year (2nd academically as I had to repeat a year) I had to withdraw because of depression and ill health. My question is would I be able to get funding to go back and complete my degree or even start a new one? Thanks

Generally funding is a single course plus a year, however you can receive a loan if you take a second course which leads to a professional qualification such as medicine.0

You can apply for extenuating circumstances (it may be worded differently, can't remember exactly off the top of my head). You supply evidence that you left due to your health and they consider whether to allow further funding. By all accounts if you have strong evidence you will probably be successful.
I'm hoping to go down this route myself as I also left a course due to my mental illness.0 -
Compelling personal reasons is how they describe it! There are no limits under this criteria as to years funding. Have a Google, there's lots of good info to be found, particularly on a busy student forum with SFE reps.0
