I wouldn't pay £1000 or even £800 for a tv, but did notice a 42" version of the 650 range in Currys and it's picture was markedly better than the ones in the next range down.

We've had Panasonics for years. This one is only 32" , but working fine so I can't justify buying a bigger one. (Would like the 42" 650 model though as it also looks good.)

No matter what Hz (frequency) the TV screen can do, it will be showing you 50Hz broadcast TV, or 24 frames per second films on Blu-Ray or DVD. Very unlikely that you'll be able to take advantage of the higher Hz, and any TV I've seen with it, I find it very distracting, as the motion looks artificial and I turn it off. Panasonic call it 'Intelligent Frame Creation' - and as that name suggests, the TV has to make up the bits in between.

The main things to remember are..

    1) Full HD
2)If at all possible, buy it at John Lewis

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Are you really spamming for John lewis? Richer Sounds have just as good customer service as JL.
