It depends on whether you count having passed a relatively arbitrary date that's printed on the side of the packet as a good reason or not....
Alternatively, you can use your eyes and nose to determine whether you think something's safe to eat. Maybe even taste a little bit of it.
I understand these methods have been keeping human beings alive for thousands of years before the invention of the best before/use by date. Animals use it too, as they have yet to master reading....0 -
