£30 bad credit loan?

Options
Does anybody know of a company that does small loans? I just need a bit of cash, like £30 for food and a few bits for a few days and really don't want a £100 loan or whatever. Any ideas, I'm really stuck?

  • For the love of god don't take out a loan for £30.

Do you literally not have any friends?
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
  • Believe me if I had another option I wouldn't but I don't. This is a last resort.

If you really don't have any money for food, have you considered a food back - sign of the times but likely to be one in your area, otherwise local churches / salvation army etc may do lunches / dinners for those in need.

Is there anything you can pawn / sell quickly? Could you offer to do some odd jobs locally (neighbours etc) in return for a meal or a bit of food?

Do you have any food in at all and if so what? its amazing what you can make out of a few bits in the cupboard. Anything like oats - bag of value porridge oats is less than £1 will give you porridge to see you through a few days - its not the most exciting if its all you have to eat but needs must.

Have you even considered bin-diving? Lots of stores throw out perfectly good (sealed) food at closing or before because of dates and silly regulations that it can't be given to charities.

If you're really stuck for £30 now, it is a situation that can get out of control quickly with APRs of payday loans and the like. You really really do not want to go down that route.

Hi NeedHelpQuick.I am sorry you are in this situation, but really,it is not worth getting into debt for the sake of £30.Some ideas, without knowing anything of your circumstances:
-do you have any points on Clubcard you can redeem?
-anything you can sell on Facebook selling pages? Price things right and people will collect and pay cash
-are you in credit with your energy supplier? This week I simply phoned my supplier up and asked for the credit that had built up,in the next few days I will receive £170.In July I received £310-ish
-is there absolutely nobody you could ask for a loan?
-short-term work. This time of year, lots of people are looking for cleaners.Where I am,you could make £30 in less than 3 hours.

Have you got any food in the cupboards or freezer. If so, take an inventory and post it on the old style money saving board. Some of the folk over there can suggest possible meals to be made out of what you've got.

Please, please, go to a food bank.
Normally you have to be referred but in your circumstances they would never turn you away.

See if there are any local selling sites you could sell a few bits on.
Go onto facebook and search ' local selling sites in xxxx#'
That way, its instant cash, far better than ebay.

What is your normal source of income? If you work your employer might be willing to give you a small advance. Most employers know that staff need, at a minimum, to be well fed in order to work productivley.

Also do you have a bank account? Could you ring up and ask for a small overdraft. You may already have a £50 buffer zone- but check first

When do you next get paid-benefits or wages?

Surely you have family or a friend that will feed you/sort you out £30.

Or have you already let them all down a few times?
