Thomas Cook Christmas Sale : Date & Discounts

Dear All,
I'm looking to book a family package to Turkey for 10 days in August 2015.
Does anyone know when the Christmas / January discount sales start?.

Currently there is a £100 discount promotional code . Am I likely to get a better discount in the Christmas/ January sales?

I know exactly the hotel and everything.?
Thanks for any help and assistance.

  • As August always fall in the school holidays and peak travel time they won't discount a lot unless they cannot shift the packages.
IMO If you really want a specific holiday on a specific date book it and forget about it.
If you can be flexible on dates and departure airports you may get a better deal nearer the time.

The new brochures are due out next week so the prices normally rise so they can have offers on in January. January is manic, December is quiet so stores need the sales now. Get yourself into a high street Thomas cook as they're the same price in a TC shop as online, you'll be able to have a low deposit and probably get some free insurance or airport parking which the internet can't offer you. They may not discount in January they didn't very much last year as the promotion was based on customer service not price.

Thanks to everyone for advice, please keep it coming.

Going into the high street store, won't allow me to use the £100 discount code!

I'm really stuck with booking up now and using the code or waiting for a better sale/discount. What do you think?

    Thanks

How much is the holiday costing, you may get a discount matching that without the code if you say you have an internet code but you'd rather book in store.

It's costing about £5300 and its saying on 3 rooms 3 seats left! Help
  • Hi,

We just booked a Thomas Cook package with JLM Travel, we have used them a few times now got an email off them yesterday with a promo code and we saved £112 on the price the Thomas Cook website quoted. The promo code was EMAIL and it was a summer 2015 holiday to Mexico we booked. Not sure if we are supposed to pass this on but it says in the email it was for existing customers lol - worth a try!

Blinking heck ring a TC shop straight away they'll give you more than £100 off that, wish I was at work today i'd ring you lol.
Smaller TC shops are more ameniable to discounting than your large stores in city centres. Like I say its a quiet time they'll snatch your hand off.

Is the hotel you are looking at exclusive to Thomas Cook? Or is there specifically something Thomas Cook are offering that means you need to book with them?

I would look around and see if you can find the hotel cheaper with anyone else first, before looking for a discount code. (You may have already done this and TC might be the best price, but for Turkey I would be very surprised if they were)

    Thanks for all the help.

Thomas Cook, don't own the hotel, but are the only UK tour operator who sell packages there.

I booked today, as I saw an email from work saying 10% discount on Thomas Cook holidays via a Life Style rewards scheme. I called them up and after numerous email exchanges clarifying various points I managed to get £500 discount off the advertised price booking through an agent, so I am well happy :j:j:j.
