Bus stop fine

So today I got a fine through the post.
I got fined for picking a friend up at 12:30AM because I stopped in a bus stop. The bus stop isn't even in use at this time!
There are no signs to say that CCTV is in operation and there is a small non illuminated sign above the bus stop to say no stopping.

Is it worth appealing or am I stuffed?
