Hello!
It's a long winded question so ill try and cut it down as small as possible. Im 19 this month and i live with my mum. However i have no need to move out of my mums however we want to move together. I'm not in any form of relationship etc but when i am then my mum has said she will find her own place and we have come to an agreement in that.
As im only young we plan to move out together but i want everything in my name so its my home so i pay rent etc. She will be giving me half and thats the way we will run things split everything down the middle.
Basically what the bloody hell do i do to get a rental. Can i at 19? What do i need to do, pay out etc. Does my credit rating need to be perfect and if i was to agree to renting the house i want would i have to move in there and then or can we set a date to move in (eg after xmas?)
I think thats all of the questions its just about the credit scoring etc things like that and all the 'grown up' stuff i need to know lol!
I would ask my mum about it all but she sugar coats everything and still thinks i dont know what she's talking about haha!!
Thanks in advance!

If you and your mum will be living there, most landlords will insist on a joint tenancy. Both your names on the agreement, and both of you responsible (jointly and seperately) for the rent etc.
That means both you and your mum will be referenced and credit checked to ensure you are both trustworthy and reliable, and can, between you, afford the rent.
The alternative is for you to be a single tenant, with your mum named as a Permitted Occupier. Not all landlords will agree to this. Can i at 19? Yes
What do i need to do, pay out etc.
Fees for credit cheks, holding the property, admin etc
1 months rent up front +
deposit - typically (1 or 2 months rent)
Does my credit rating need to be perfect
the better it is the easier renting will be. Serious problems (CCJ, bankrupcy) will cause serious difficulties
and if i was to agree to renting the house i want would i have to move in there and then or can we set a date to move in (eg after xmas?)0
