Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the following? I recently switched away from nPower and supplied start readings to new provider. I then received an estimated final bill from nPower which was over the top on both gas and electric. I contacted them with the readings given to the new supplier and got a response saying that the electric they would sort but that as the gas was within the tolerance limit of 39 units that they would not sort this side out. I have requested links/documents supporting this as they owe approx 50GBP. Anyone have any idea if this is correct or legal?
Thanks for any replies
Ian

For both gas and elecboth suppliers should use the same reading - has this happened? If both readings match but you dispute the reading suppliers don't typically change the CoS if the difference between the value used and the value you want to use is less than 250kwh different (250 units on an elec meter).IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
