Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All
Still hanging on by my fingertips. Found a £2.84 brand match coupon today so used it to buy a loaf, some fruit & lunchbox items. A nice surprise indeed.

Today is the last day of my Jan GC and I couldn't be more pleased that we made it with such a tight budget for the 4 of us :j

A big first shop will be needed in Feb GC though :o

  • Well time to declare. I ended up buying some cookies for 50p and a bottle of wine for £4 as well as needed items. Changed dinner plans as my brain went into panic mode at doing the menu planning so kids are eating now and DH and I are having a 2 for £4 pizza each later. The chorizo I was going to use up is now being used for a recipe for tomorrows dinner. Once my meat delivery arrives I [STRIKE]can[/STRIKE] will panic again and then attempt a menu plan.

So my final total for January is £256.44 which is under. I can't help feeling I missed a receipt somewhere as that's just over £60 under budget. Hey ho we shall see ;)

Popped into the local Mr T Express to get the mirror for the A!di voucher and they had loads of good reductions.
Got 6 packs of 500g lean steak mince for £1.68 each, they should have been £4.20 or 2 for £6. Was hoping the extra reduction might come off but it didn't.
6 packs of ham 5 slices, 40p each should have been £2.10
3 punnets of nectarines 18p each should have been £1.75
5 packs of 6 wildlife choobs 10p each should have been £1.00
pack of courgettes 66p should have been £1.50
innocent smoothie carton 25p should have been £2.50
and the mirror I went in for.
Should have been £45.40 after multibuy discounts I paid £14.98
Popped to aldi afterwards to get chips, gherkins and cheese, spent £3.19

The mince will do 12 dinners, so I've separated it and frozen it all, will last the 4 of us 3 months as we don't have mince more than 1 per week!

Got a lot of updating to do!

£1.20 on 2 energy drinks & a big cake (YS). The cake was originally £6 alone so I was pleased with this :D

£13.26 on 8 tins of cat food, a bar of chocolate, a tin of coconut milk, a jar of peanut butter, a bag of Quorn fillets, a pepper, a bag of sweets, a bottle of squash & a pack of vegetables.

£13.24 on 4 litres of Pepsi max, 12 tins of cat food, a bottle of shampoo, 2 small bars of chocolate, a block of cheddar, a tub of gravy granules, 2 bananas & 4 pints of milk.

£5.50 on 9 rolls of toilet roll & toothpaste.

£6.23 on 2 litres of lemonade, 4 litres of Pepsi max, a bag of Quorn meatballs, 8 cookies (YS) & a loaf of bread (YS).

Missing a receipt from last Sunday, a few YS bits, calling it £5 as that was about right.

    Adding £44.43 to total.

Can someone please tell me which newspaper is doing the Aldi voucher and how much is it for? Thank you

    Daily mirror 55p.

Normally every third Thursday in month I think.

It's usually the 4th Thursday of the month, this month there are 5 thursday's so it feels like it's slightly earlier. Its for £5 off when you spend £40.
