Why is that an issue? They charge what (as much as) they can and pay what (as little as) they can get away with.
I suppose it would be an issue only if their client had contracted with them that temps must be paid the permanents' hourly rate from Day 1 and that the holiday pay had to be paid on top.0 -

That's what I was saying if the contract with the company-agency specifies pay +holiday and they pocket the holiday. The rate to worker was implied by the op in their first post and the agency having don't tell the employer what we pay you clause is a hint they may not be employing workers on the terms of the contract.
The worker can ask what the terms are that relate to them they don't need to know the agency premium/cut.0 -
I rang up last week to ask about my rate of pay and holiday entitlement and she read out an email to me stating that we should all be paid £8.46. My boss has also said to us that she makes sure all agency staff are paid the same rate as permenant members of staff.
So when the agency read the email, saying we should receive £8.46 she quickly skirted over it and said so your pay is inclusive of holiday pay and kept saying that to me. I kept saying oh that's weird? I don't get it? ( I was playing dull) I also said its all new to me as I am used to be salaried. That's why I kind of think they ripping me off and the company

Personally i'd proceed with caution - agency workers are, in my experience, usually easy in easy out. Plus, surely wages was discussed before signing of contracts?0

I was told the salary was £8.46. Then when the contract was emailed it had changed to £7.55 and 91p holiday pay. I questioned it and was basically told don't worry it's £8.46.
I feel secure in my job, we have set up a new team, all 4 of us will hopefully be kept on if it's a success. I don't think they will want to get rid of us quickly as we all had a pretty intense week and half of training into the company which no one else has had before and we are all doing so well that I would like to think they wouldn't just get rid of me just like that.0 -
The company is using agency staff?
Why if they need this team long term?0 -
They are trying something new to help with call handling etc. April they are reviewing the service, which is going well and looks like it will be kept0
