Incorrect information

Long shot here, parked at a railway station managed by APCOA in London mistakenly parked in a rental car parking spot. Paid by phone for 24 hours, got back to a parking ticket the next day. When I read the ticket, it stated that the offence was first seen (specific box for this time on the ticket) it said 11.00 and that the ticket was issued at 12.45. However I had not arrived at the car park until 12.08 and immediatly purchased a ticket. I know this because I recieved a call at 12.08 as I pulled in, the time I phoned to book the parking and the fact that I was filling my car up in a petrol station at 10.30am in Warwick which would have made it impossible to be in the car park at 11.00am when they said it had been seen. Whilst I do not deny I had parked in a restricted bay, I am interested to know that if the time was incorrect whether it would invalidate the ticket?

This error means the keeper cannot be held liable. If you are also the keeper, it wont help.

However, it is likely that the charge is more than 320, in which case your winning argument is that the charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.

Don't concern yourself with 'the story'. 'The story' has never won any appeal, so forget it. You need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky on page 1 of the forum index. That will give you a far better (and more winnable) perspective on all of this.

Come back if you're not clear on anything in it; but it is designed to help you win!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Long shot? To beat a Private Parking ticket as we do every single day, and as is already covered how to win, in the sticky threads?! Read the newbies thread.

  • Does the hand written information ie time first seen etc in every box on the Parketing ticket need to be 100% accurate, yes or no. if it is significantly inaccurate would that invalidate the parking ticket.

To use a sporting analogy, I am of the opinion that the PPC have scpored an own goal, how can a vehicle be observed if it was not in the car park, the PPC have either erred or lied, game over.
