Whats the difference??

Options
I am totally perplexed at the moment, I spent nearly 40 mins waiting for SSE to answer the phone and to be told they dont supply me with my energy. They were nice and gave me the numbers to find out. First one Gas...... Southern Electric Gas Limited....... looked on google to find they are the same company right?

Can anyone tell me if I'm right or having a mature moment?

TIA

Debz

You probably phoned the retail company, who sell gas and electricity to consumers.
The number they gave you was probably the SSE company who maintain the electricity distribution network in south england and scotland. With your meter number the network company should be able to tell you who your retail supplier is.
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

Sometimes a meter may have been installed by one company but now be supplied by another. You can check your gas supplier by calling xoserve on 0870 608 1524 and call your local distribution company to check who is your electricity supplier.
