Parking Notice Advice

HiAll,
I’m looking for some parkingnotice advice, I’ve read through the stickys but still had a few questions aboutmy specific circumstance.
I was left a Euro Car Parknotice on my windscreen for parking on a Morrisons car park as the trainstation car park (on the same site) was full while commuting to work. Anothertrain commuter advised that they had been given and ignored notices previously soI simply ignored and have made no contact.

It’s been just over 2 monthsnow, the car is registered to my partner and she’s had 1ECP letter and 2Control Accounts letters, I was fully aware they would come but shes beenscared by the court action and CCJ talk. When I researched more to tell her not toworry I saw the advice is no longer to ignore but to challenge. From thestickys I believe because it was a windscreen notice it wont be accepted if I attempt to reset the clock by admitting to being the driver and thenappealing.
What’s the best way toproceed from where I am?

Do I make contact? Who do I writeas, the RK or Driver (to either reset timer if possible or move focus to me not my partner),and am I best off admitting I’m a commuter or saying I’m a shopper? Combinedwith the appeals below using the templates provided but am I too late to usePOPLA?

I believe my options are asfollows but feel free to add if there’s an option I’ve missed –
1. Continue to ignore, hoping this will never actually go anywhere and they’ll stop the threateningletters eventually

2. Make contact and claim poor signage, the 2 car parks are next to each other with separate entrancesbut only separated by a 2 foot wide raised curb. To turn in you have to go acrossoncoming traffic from the main Morrisons car park, this is where the ECP signis so in a rush to get the train crossing the traffic flow I missed that. I parkedin a far corner where no Morrisons customer would feasibly park due to the sizeof the main car park being sufficient, I was facing the station car park and sothe only sign I saw when exiting my car was the ‘Free Parking for Railway users’6 ft away and thus left the car thinking it was still Railway parking as itslogically too far for Morrisons users (I think its actually used by the staff)……isthis good enough?

3. Make contact and claim I am a Morrisons customer, the carpark is free anyway so it’s an unrealisticcharge to pay. I’m also a regular customer of Morrisons as I get on and offthe train there, so along side the appeal I can complain direct to Morrisonsthreatening my custom with proof of my regular purchases from them in the formof a bank statement blacking out all but the numerous Morrisons purchases, isit too late for this also? Bearing in mind this would be my card statement andthus I would be admitting it was me driving to the landowner if any contact ismade between Morrisons/Landowner and ECP/Control Account.

I guess it comes down to doI make contact? Who with ECP or Control? Who do I say I am, RK or Driver, and am I bestoff admitting I’m a commuter or saying I’m a shopper? Combined with the appealsabove using the templates provided or am I too late to use POPLA?
Thanks in Advance

Start by reading the Sticky thread for NEWBIES because this gives you all the information you need, including Do Not Pay, Do Not Ignore, Do Not reveal who was driving unless it was a lease/hire car.

Was this n England/Wales as the advice elsewhere is different?

Was the 1ECP letter an NTK? If so she needs to appeal as keeper using the template appeal in the NEWBIES thread. When was the original parking incident and when did the ECP letter arrive?

Your specific circumstance is covered in Post 1 of the Newbies Sticky - Please don't make the mistake of assuming you are in any different boat to anyone else with one of these invoices.

Any appeal based on fact will almost certainly fail at every stage.
