Afternoon. Can anyone shed light on this please.
I was with Eon in 2012 we had raised a complaints after a long winded on going issue, they compensated us £250 after many weeks of letter etc mainly due to break down in there comunication. However since i joined equifax last month to build my rating and to try and remortgage. I have seen that they have put on 6 late payments and red box flags for July, the same for Aug and Sept 2012. I have tried to contact Eon raised a complaint with resolutions dept but he said they are not willing to remove them and hand on heart i didnt think they could have an impact on my credit file, thats my stupidity. The late payments in question to my knowledge was max 6 over the year some 1 day but longest was 4 days late the ammount of late payments they are looking into. My question is how much of an impact do these have on your file? I have since my iva ended tried with success building my credit score but wondered what impact this could have. Also any guidence please is always welcome

It will probably be on Experian and Noddle, but you'll have to double check. There's nothing you can really do about it, as they have to report a truthful account.
They shouldn't affect you too much in a couple of years, but you might find you can't get the best deals on the market.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

This must be what fails me when I am trying to balance transfer a credit card. After my iva ended and come off credit report I thought it would be all good. Didn't expect this if I am honest. My credit report is good and only thing poor is payment history due to this. School boy error0

Maybe put a not on your credit file to explain the late payments?
I'm not convinced this helps mind but at least it means it will be manually checked when you apply for things but won't get instant decisions.
Alternatively when you apply for something and get rejected you can appeal and explain. All that glitters is not gold.0 -
Personally I'd say not to put an NOC on the file just for some late payments. If you have an NOC, you're almost guaranteed to be rejected from a lot of places, and the rest will refer it to the underwriters. I'd just appeal if you get rejected.Maybe put a not on your credit file to explain the late payments?

OP, there's nothing you can do to get rid of it.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
