Age of sccounts

I opened a new bank account earlier this year (mainly to help with saving) and a credit account (I've never used) and I think this has led to my Credit report telling me that the "age of my accounts" is counting against me. Apparently shutting my accounts down won't matter - it was the act of opening them in the first place that's the problem.
I guess all I can do is wait, but does anyone have any idea of how long for?
Thanks

Ignore it. You have to open accounts at some point, and lenders pay no attention to the CRA's opinion of you.0
