Is it possible to record films using a dvd recorder that are watched / coming through this box?

Thanks

Yes, but is its a PITA.

You need a recorder that will accept an NTSC input and be in NTSC mode, the video is only Composite and there is a two hour inactivity timer on the NowTV box, when it then defaults back to the menu.

So it is a nightmare to do?

Depends on how much you really want to record and what equipment you have.

I have suitable equipment from the analogue TV days so no extra costs to me, but the poor picture quality and two hour time out make it unsuitable for me.

I thought about getting the now tv box with the films free for 2 months and recording them.
My DVD recorder is 2005 era http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=DVDR5500/05B&hlt=Link_Overview&scy=GB&slg=ENG
