The correct support of flue pipes in roof spaces is often an area that is overlooked and a weakness. It is imperative that flue pipes of this nature are correctly supported and run straight so as to ensure that joints are not deflected ,mate correctly, seal correctly and are not under any strain which may lead to failure/
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • I went into the loft space today.

The flue is accessible (if you are prepared to climb up through a ceiling hatch, which is what the October man did).

The flue goes vertically up from the boiler, through the ceiling, into a roof space, and continues straight through the roof. No bends anywhere. It is secured to the rafters just prior to exiting the roof space.

I don't know how December man was able to say how adequately or otherwise it was supported, because he didn't ask to look in the roof space.

Is there supposed to be some sort of support between the boiler and the ceiling (about 18 inches)? That's the only bit December man would have looked at.
