Busy scamsters?

Seems the parking companies may be having trouble keeping up with the volume of traffic at the anpr sites, or perhaps have a shortage of muppets keeping an eye on the data.
Recently received 3 letters from not so smart where their letter was dated outside the 14 day limit.
Now received this one from parking eye with similar issue - whilst claiming compliance/reliance on POFA - i don't think so.

    Arm chancing?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Possibly.
Didn't expect it from not so smart as they are usually well within the time limit.
Same reply (shove it where the sun don't shine) will be heading their way.

Wait a minute. The NtK says that they have been notified by the hire company that you are the current keeper. Are they correct in saying that the vehicle is a lease vehicle or at least it is not your name and address with the DVLA?

If so, I am afraid that your defence on that point is blown out of the water as they would have contacted the leasing company who are the DVLA register record keepers first.

They might be 'in time' but there is no time limit of 14 days for Smart, seeing as they don't use the POFA.
