Holiday - leave lights on?

What a stupid post
SOME burglars will trash the place - others will do a quick sweep for valuables and leave as quickly as possible (which is what happened to us)
Please stop scaremongering.
The key is to ensure your home is not the easiest option - so all precautions can help.If they want in they'll be in. Lights wont stop this. If they suspect some one is in they will just ring the doorbell and find out. The key is making as hard as possible for them to get in in the first place. Once they are in they'll trash the place looking for valubles so even if they dont get anything you come back to a mess and feel violated. Good locks, good alarm is the way to stop em.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Are you taking your car (if you have one)? If not, I'd take the keys with you or leave them with someone else. Have known a few people lose their cars as well as get burgled.
A work friend got burgled on FridayBeen there too and got a couple of t-shirts... The "%$(&*(^*"s took my passport and I didn't realise until the day I was meant to go on holiday (a Saturday so ended up having to cancel)
