Gas and electricity charge?

What is the charge I see on my gas and electric pre payment meters when I go into emergency credit? It's not debt as that's taken midweek ....I top up and it says charge of £4 then next day £5 then when I top up I don't get my full amount of credit why .....I'm with British gas

When you are in emergency credit it does not take your daily standing charge or debt. If you check screens 00,01,02 and 03 it will tell you what happened to your last top up.
