    I wonder whom by;)(:rotfl:)?

I thought something was amiss when the Ben chimes seemed to start rather much closer to twelve than my liking:rotfl:. Anyway, move on...:D:rotfl:

(I've already said "Happy New Year", to everyone, in general, so I'm not going to say it again, to you, specifically...

Oh, alright then. Happy New Year!:A And deliver my best wishes to DS2 (or whatever number, you know which I mean, I always forget.) Will the equilibrium now right itself I wonder, at 38 minutes and 9 seconds past 12 (that's nine seconds BBC, possibly Sky and everyone else, not 59 past 37:rotfl::rotfl:) as at the time of me pressing "Submit reply"?

Thank you :D :A it's very much appreciated
Especially given the upset caused by BBC :D;) :rotfl:

I shouldn't mention it - and wasn't going to do so at all - but we had the News ticker disappear completely for about 15 minutes (alright, 13 minutes and a number of seconds) from 9.30pm yesterday. That was because BBC One Scotland has a different schedule last night/into this morning and took its own bulletin of news after an earlier news than the rest of the country. They don't have the Red Bee Media (their contractor) clean feed available to them, so had to take the BBC News Channel as broadcast on air (and then managed to mess it up very slightly by joining a split second before the screen flipped to the news studio, so you saw a few seconds of the end of the BBC News Channel "waiting - ages(!):rotfl: - for BBC1" trail). (Normally BBC One Scotland, and the other nations, must go to BBC One London for the network bulletins - BBC One London then having the clean feed, without the ticker. Ah... all these fascinating details!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!) They did sort of split news transmission (Scotland at a different time) before, on a Bank Holiday for the rest of us (think it was in August LAST YEAR:laugh:), when Ben Brown presented two newses - one for England/Wales/NI, then a full regular Six O'Clock bulletin at...well, six o'clock! Scotland I gather had to make do with the ticker running throughout the Six O'Clock programme (broadcast on BBC ONE only in Scotland) on that occasion. This time, obviously BBC One Scotland is more important than the News Channel, so they got the News Channel to remove its ticker for the duration. So - I coped with it!:rotfl::rotfl: Both were presented live (or maybe 10 seconds late:p with Jane Hill starting at 10 seconds to ten pm with the non-Scotland bulletin, who can tell?!?) - compare the two versions - outside Scotland had a live link from the London celebrations and Scotland viewers would be unaware of a particularly sad story that the bulletin in Scotland missed. Jane Hill said, for Scotland, "now for the news wherever you are" - which was... only Scotland!:rotfl:

Happy Hogmanay to all our fellows (and fellow-esses:rotfl:) over the border!:)
