A warning *not* to buy fuel today:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-30643816

Unfortunately it's taken the shine off my "buying at the right time", as unfortunately I did and I've gone on to calculate (why did I do so?) that, as a result, I've lost about 59p:eek::(. So that's no more S/P Pears pack next time:rotfl:. I wasn't even desperate for fuel today anyway. Although I don't like putting back the savings I've made, I suppose never mind.

Cynical maybe that the prices come down on 1st January - I imagine to be a low travel day when not many people needing fuel - after people have been spending and travelling on 31 December and needing to buy fuel to use today.

It encourages them to go shopping while they're there though... Good news for the supermarket petrol stations

I'd have thought more people would have been shopping - and then buying fuel - today (and then beating the early closing which basically almost psychologically forces you to shop more urgently) rather than going tomorrow, on a Bank Holiday.

I remember last year making some New Years resolutions for the Elite......anyone want to play.....I've had a look back and can't find the posts but just to kick off here are some of my Elite ones:D

    1. Never ever throw a coupon away until it has actually gone out of date.
    2. Move quickly when there's a glitch. There's more chance it won't work the longer you dilly dally:)
    3. Grab more coupons than you ever think you'll need.

    Anyone want to add any?:)

    Good Evening :)

Had a lovely afternoon out with the kids. Stopped at Ts express for some crusty bread on the way home. OMG it was heaving  the aisle with the wine/spirits was just packed. Why do so many people leave it until last thing on NYE to go and buy their booze? And pay way over the odds for it  Silly people :D

Are you going out this evening LFAB?

ETA just saw your post....catching up backwards

You sound happy and relaxed eeeeemmmmaaap:)

Hope you've recovered from last night.....I know you were a bit upset. It's a new year ....new start and all that stuff........ put that particular "friend" way way behind you.:T:o

I am thanks TM. I lost a bit of sleep last night running things over and over but 2015 is definitely going to start with one less childish person in my life so that's a good thing.

I ordered a club sandwich from room service and the guy who brought it up to me was genuinely a male model. In a white suit. This must be what heaven is like :rotfl:

Jelly I don't have a bath! Do have a massive rain shower though and have already assessed the toiletries. Some good stuff :D
