Morning all - very cold here.

Sons plural - not very often I get to say that :D - eat pizza last night and where out of the house within the hour, off to see eldest sons mates - this is actually a world record, normally he is in the door, out of the door

No idea what time they got back, various feet up and down the stairs in the small hours.

Hoping they will stay in bed a few hours so I get a chance to catch up a bit - I was hoping to get a photo with both of them together with frost behind - last one was a couple of summers ago in shorts before PDT

OH has gone to work again  halting the turkey hunting this morning.

If anyone is updating their home accounts excels this morning don't forget to check your Groupon and Livingsocial deals for the expiry dates. I have one expiring 05/01 from Livingsocial for a meal in a nice Italian place but in reality esp if OH insists on being in work all of the time we wont use it.
so sadly I've put in a request for a refund - they have a no quibble guarantee so its very easy, no need to ring anyone
Even more galling is that I used a discount code so it would have been not much more expensive than Mcds.

so if you see a livingsocial deal you fancy with long expiry dates but you are still not totally sure about, its still worth getting as refunds are straight forward. You get livingsocial credit rather than money.

I've got one lonely JL coffee voucher left so in reality, unless they start re issuing them I don't have many real reasons to go to Liverpool now ...

Op shouldn't really be in charge of a car if A. Can't open the bonnet and B. don't know where/how to check oil!

Why?. U do not need to know how to pop a bonnet or fill water up to pass a driving test, & not knowing them do not make u an unsafe driver. Would u say the same things to a pilot or captain. :rotfl:

Well come on Zippy, we ALL know AAu misses attention to detail when it suits :p;)

I wouldn't say that being recognised by someone from a distance classifies as a meet :p. there was no face to face

Morning BB....it sounds like you've made your mind up finally:T

Yes we have traditions...stranger - hopefully tall dark and handsome and not too strange :rotfl:bringing in coal at midnight to be greeted with spice cake and money:cool:
I get very excited about the start of a new year....it's like a clean slate ready to be written upon.

Challenges, resolutions, hopes and dreams......all exciting stuff:T

Morning all. Sorry your not feeling well Nanny. Hope everyone else is ok.
I need help with the above please. At this time if year I really feel like I NEED to set myself goals for the new year. Bearing in mind I can't get out much it's really hard to do but I always upset myself thinking I need to make more of a life for myself. I deny my self most pleasures in life as I don't think I'm worth anything. My 3 kids who are my joy have grown up and don't need me so much now so what do I do ? Last year I finally settled on 2 little goals ( you would laugh ) but I achieved them and felt tons better for doing them so this year I need to find something again but have to say I've drawn a blank :wall:
Any ideas would be welcome :o. Tia xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

Sad news at the Nestle chocolate factory today, a man was seriously injured when a pallet of white chocolate fell more than 50 feet and crushed him underneath, he tried in vain to attract attention but every time he shouted "the milky bars are on me" Everyone just cheered!!
