Good morning all
I hope you are ready for the new year I remember when I was very young the mad frenzy of this day Everything was cleaned Curtains bedding and there was no automatic washing machines driers etc The stairs or paths to the house were also scrubbed with bleach :eek::eek:
So glad times have changed
Off to work soon as not quite up to date after suffering mrs Nefry's bug
I did pick up 3 toblerones last night Thanls to SFSB The new girl at work thought I was strange :rotfl:
Bananababe I know you have had a chance to sleep on your decision Whatever it is it will be the right one :A
Enjoy the day
Morning, not had much sleep. Come back from in laws last night with very sore belly.
Came in to a sink full of dishes. Oldest had been in with his girlfriend for tea and went out without bothering to clean up. Drives me crazy and one of favourit plates chipped but they had used it regardless ?
Anyway very small thing really but I cleaned up and stomped off to bed.
Was up during night and finally gave in and stayed up at 6am.
Any hoo. It's hogmany. Let the cleaning commence
Not toldx boss of decision yet cause keep changing my mind.
Hope your well xxxx0 -

It's easy to make 'friends', spend time, have nights out etc... with people you work with. You are spending a lot of hours a day with them. But in reality they are rarely people who you'd have spent time with otherwise. And as someone who has moved around a lot job-wise.....you ultimately lose touch. If it was real friendship, you wouldn't.
There is the odd exception but for the most part if you aren't spending 8 hours a day with someone and being forced to communicate, there's no real bond there. Might explain why I only have a few 'real' friends:rotfl::rotfl:

Ooooo......just heard the bin lorry. Thank god!! I wasn't sure if they were coming today. Had to do a massive run to the dump yesterday and did not want to have to go again today.
Something that might excite you FC.....we had to cut loads of branches off the old oak tree in the garden so had a giant pile of wood there. Yesterday bf invested in a circular saw and now have a garage full of logs and kindling drying out. Still a massive pile in the garden waiting to be done! Don't know where we are going to store it all?
Does anyone know how long it needs to dry out before it's good to burn? Tia
I am not certain, but I believe it needs 6 months to a year to season before you can burn it, and this is only because you cut it in winter and it has less moisture on board! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
