Saversue asked about receiving additional copies of the RT magazine beyond the 12 that had been subscribed to. (Thanks aau1 for informing about the possibility of DDs being paid after they are cancelled.)

I gather the law has changed - and it seems to me is now a little less favourable than what it was before:

    http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/nireland/consumer_ni/consumer_common_problems_with_products_e/consumer_problems_with_delivery_e/consumer_unsolicited_goods_e/youve_received_goods_or_services_you_didnt_ask_for.htm

This may be England/Wales/N.I., not sure immediately if it is Scotland.

It looks to me the further copies are extra items beyond what was ordered. Therefore they are sent by mistake. The link says you need to contact the sender to ask them to collect them. It doesn't say on that page what happens if they then fail to do so (it used to be under the old law they then had 30 days to collect them after which they became yours but then they were treated as 'unsolicited' rather than sent by mistake). Maybe some of the information referred to on that page will provide the answer. HTH.

(They always like to keep it simple - it used to be the Unsolicited Goods and Services Act, although that did not cover unsolicited services only goods - but now it is the snappily entitled "Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013":rotfl::(.)

EDIT: Not sure how I ended up on the Northern Ireland page. But I've moved the drop-down to England and to Wales and it appears to say the same on those pages, and for Scotland too.

I cancelled mine last night but couldn't rebook at my local store. (originally they weren't participating).I saw cs who said just come along tomorrow evening at which ever time I like, its for exclusive members only!! Last year they were booked up so quickly I would never have been able to have changed a booking, so it makes me wonder who all these exclusive members are- or is it just us the elite;).

can someone please post a link of which stores are taking part in this please.
    tia
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
The world is full of people throwing stones at us. Its what you do with them that counts. Build a wall or build a bridge.

Even if it's not for this year but a reference for next, it'd be helpful :A
