I never got engaged....just married. All I remember is peplums were fashionable. I had a knee length dress with a peplum, 80s hair and the pointiest shoes I've ever worn (with insoles because they were a little too big)
The photos are funny though:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was a millennium bride, although in my 30s, my OH was/is a bit slow on the uptake and it took me nearly 10 years to get him up the aisle.0 -

I haven't realised until my own kids are turning into teenagers just how bonkers we were getting married at 17 :eek::eek: We were mad!
There was talk about proposals a while back? My OH went to my Dad and asked his permissionmy Dad told him he was very noble but if he wanted to marry me, I'd do it without anyone's permission anyway
he also told him if he was marrying me that I was his responsibility and he'd get landed with paying for me to go to uni ( he was trying to put him off
) my OH joined the army a week later and did indeed pay for me to go to uni :cool:
My Dad was impressed with that0 -
