The wife has never let me "risk" it....but last xmas eve every trolley in Waities seemed to have a heavily reduced turkey in it

Love the waities bargains posted on here but closest is only a small one right in the centre of Manchester - no way will oh drive into the centre on xmas eve. This is the first year I have managed to talk oh into letting me take the risk...not sure why he relented this year lol.

Last year went to collect turkey in Mr Ts on Christmas eve and there was a basket full of reduced turkeys so also planning to do that this year...also need nerves of steel!

I think Tosco shuts at 7 near us on xmas eve so am thinking to get there for around 6.15ish. Morribobs is 5pm and sainsbugs 6pm so am planning to hit them in order of closing in the hope that one of them has a fresh turkey reduced  Roast beef for xmas dinner if no turkey to be had :rotfl:

Thanks Pasipha. Does it say this on Amazon or on bespoke t & c's. Tia xx

Bespoke tells you when you need to redeem by And also states once tedeemed you have 10 years to use it. Amazon tells you the date the voucher will expire 10 years from now.

I got recognised by someone I wish hadn't so now I'm very careful about what I post, quite a few of my posts have been altered and/or deleted since then to put them off the scent. I told them I've never used this site :o but do use the dark side :rotfl: and it must be someone else they know. Thankfully they seem to believe me :D

Hope they don't read this post then. :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm the same, at the end of the day it's the least we can do for them. We went through hell when our cat got run over, cost an absolute fortune for her treatment. Sadly she didn't make it but we had to give her the chance and we swore we'd do it again. Thankfully the vet was fantastic and allowed us to pay it off monthly, when DH died just over a year later the vet cleared the last few hundred off the bill. I'd been with the same vet with various cats from I was about 5yrs old so he knew us well.

I'm doing ok, Xmas sorted, everything's wrapped except the bike that's just arrived for my dad.
I'm just back from delivering some items, thank goodness I'm not one of those silly people sitting in traffic trying to get into the city centre.
Was waiting in on lady from freecycle but she's just cancelled so going to enjoy a few hours of peace then going to mum and dad's to wrap presents for my dad, he's rubbish at it :rotfl:

Hope you're sorted and have a great Xmas xx

That was a nice gesture of the Vet with so much to deal with.

And Im sure your Dad will enjoy his bike.

I'm fine about there with all the helping hands I have at home. Although OH likes to throw in curve balls like heading north to deliver to his folks. But I wouldn't deny him it at all.

I guess its a bit easier for me with the kids being older. I have been working a lot though, we are a family run firm and a lot of family members have had issues and we had a death yesterday morning. only 47 and 3 young ones :(:(

So I muck in where I can, its all can we can do x

Hope its gone tomorrow I am meeting mum 7am outside Mr T's

Still think she's joking but I will be there unless she rings saying different today.

I have to go no Christmas Day food don't think mum would be pleased with mushy pea curry or a fish inspiration ;)
  • Afternoon all

No work for me until Saturday now :)

I'm meant to be getting organised but struggling. Still no turkey here either, do have veg and tatties though so we'll not go hungry :p :rotfl: list is a work in progress l!
