Feeling quite sick, just saw something awful happen.

Dropped OH off at the pub in town earlier, for his xmas night out, and took my youngest and dog for a walk. We walked past the skatepark, on the way back to the car, and there was an ambulance there, they were picking a young lad up and putting him on a stretcher, he was out cold, they lay him down face first and covered him up, not sure if he was alive or not, but it really made me feel cold all over. The thing is this skatepark is all concrete, and is a favourite place my kids like to go to with their scooters and bmxs. I have explained to my kids that I dont want them going again now, as seeing this happen today, and how easy accidents happen, it frightens the life out of me.

I hope and pray this lad is ok.

I have never forgiven Mr TS for the year that he let DD1 go into the lounge unsupervised and take her stocking upstairs while the rest of us were still asleep.

Ruined it for DD2 at the time as the floor was strewn with what would be duplicates of what was in her stocking and I was upset that after I put all the effort in of buying and wrapping the bits I didn't get the joy of seeing them be opened.

Needless to say everyone got the message after that year we all had to wait for each other and enjoy the moment together. ;)

When we were little (ish), my dad used to sellotape the door and place and alarm clock in the middle of the tape. We couldn't wake my parents til the alarm went off. (This was after the morning my brother and I sneaked downstairs, opened presents and generally had a lovely time, all before my parents realised we were up. :rotfl: )

  • And yes you're right about those dancers, it's really not necessary!

DD3 never got as excited as the other two and was so grumpy if woken early (wonder who she takes after :o) it was always really hard to stop them waking her up too soon. DD3 was never brave enough to go in the room first just in case Father Christmas was still there. :rotfl:

Please dont do that, make sure they have proper protective gear, and that they wear it.
