Morning all - fed up of not being able to get towels dried outside
The presents are wrapped - very panicked now as the Christmas piles do not look very significant. Even the Christmas stockings look a bit lack lustre but at least you can pad those out with chocolate
Youngest son has gone home, due home for Christmas at the weekend and I think he expects significant improvements in the cleanliness of the house and vast improvements on the Christmas prep.
At the weekend while he home, He took over the downstairs bathroom cleaning as I was not doing it properly and I also had complaints about the dust on the cabinets in the kitchen, marks on the fridge door and I wasn't washing up properly. He is a very hard task master.
(Yes his own home is immaculate, shared house, no evidence that 4 blokes live there!)
I've now started on the bed changing which is going to be fun as I can't dry anything outside “Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I dry my bedding outside so long as it is dry, does not take much of a breeze to get something with such a high surface area to volume ratio dryGot some dry only a few days ago.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Cashback credit cards - I've got a Nationwide one and I try to use it for everything, even small buys - paid off in full every month.
The 2 big things I've not used it for paying the builder and paying the final balance on the holiday, otherwise everything.
The cashback ammount is taken off your December bill so I had £61 cashback this year :j
I also buy gift cards from Ohs workplace scheme and these save me between 5% and 7.5% so I've saved another £60 on these - got to do another order so a bit more yet - only been doing thus for half a year.
So roughly £120 - if I do a mid week break using offers, discounts, groupon, livingsocial etc I budget between £150 and £200 for accomadation , food, activities, petrol etc - so that £120 is most of a midweek break“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I think its just because of where we live - it rains virtually everyday and most nights, always under a cloud“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I also seem to think that they do Pizza Hut which is useful if you do the buffet menu.
Please can I ask has anyone used their nectar points in Argos to buy gift cards?
I know Sainsburys sell gift cards anyway but not ones like marks and Pizza Hut“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
