Just been outside to look for shooting stars, no luck. Should have stayed out longer as it's a beautiful, clear, starry night, but so cold. Everywhere sparkling with frost.

I had a look around 10.30 and again at 11.45 - saw 7 fairly bright ones. They were going in different directions but all coming from just to the left and a bit higher up than Orion - one of the handful of constellations that I can easily spot !

The peak is tonight - hoping for a clear night.

    Morning guys :j

Due to pick up my udi's cc this afternoon.

A couple of questions as I've never ordered anything via cc before.

At what point will I know if I've been charged full price for the udi's? Do they give me a receipt or do I need to sign an inventory of what I've ordered? If it's worked and they're £1 how do I get the price difference back, do they refund me the difference in store or does it get put back on my card online?

    Thanks! :)

At my c and c they give you the paper inventory as they unload your stuff from the van. Work out how much it should be if the udis are not there at all/charged at 1.00/charged at full price. Then you can look at the final cost and know what you are looking at. Subs you can accept or turn down as you like. You get charged at the time of signing for your stuff I think. But if you reject subs you might be charged then refunded in a couple days for those. My bank account online shows pending transactions. It shows the amount sada have charged before you go. Hth

Morning guys..... I know I hardly make an appearance due to RL but I do pop my head round the door every now and again just to check what the elite are up too :p .... I can't thank you all enough. :j:j:j although I'm gutted I missed out on a pringle tower the other day.

The receipt you are given when you pick up your goods will show you what you have been charged for each item as it is itemised.

If you do get the UDIs you will be able to see next to the itemised listing for them what you were charged. So as you ordered 7 you should be charged £7 if they are £1 in your store or the warehouse that supplies your store if not taken from the stores own stock.

Any subs will appear at the top of the invoice, and the asda person giving you your items will draw these to your attention and offer you the option of accepting or refusing them.

You are refunded by way of APG evoucher/s into your online asda account. However, this is not an automatic process. You need to log into your asda account, view your order, and click on the Asda Price Guarantee button that will appear next to the order details. This button can appear at any time from 3 hours after you collected your order to 3 days.

You will be redirected to the APG website where you once again enter your asda account log in details. A comparison will come up to show how much your order was when you placed it online compared to how much it should have been in other competitor stores. This comparison will not be against what you actually paid.

You will then have a button to click on to claim your evouchers. Evouchers are added to your asda account every Tuesday.

Please note that refund is not actually the correct term. What you are charged for your order is what is actually on the receipt you get from the store when you collect your items. So if the UDIs are £1 in your store you will be charged £1 not the £2.95 shown online. If there are no UDIs and no subs you will not be charged at all. If there are subs you will be charged whatever the UDIs would have cost in store even if the subs would have cost more if you had ordered them instead.

However, for APG purposes, the system thinks you were charged £2.95 so gives you a voucher for the supposed overcharge plus 10% of the £1 that it would have cost you if you had bought the item at the competitor store.

Do not mention glitch or overcharge or evouchers to the asda person when you collect your order .... we are playing the apg system. They do not know that we are, and it is best not to advertise that you are, or your orders are likely to be flagged in future, which may affect your ability to play the apg game.

  • Morning everyone :)

Flo , it's still "please don't go, begging you to stay" :D. Just ignore the awkward squad, whilst vocal, they do not represent the majority and you are missed here.

Spring dreams, that is a brilliant post re getting apgs, very clearly summed up, thanks :T

Hope everyone is feeling festive and has a lovely Sunday

So did anyone else play the 1p lotto game on Amazon last night :rotfl:
Gotta be in it to win it

On Sky this morning that some small firms are reporting they could go bust after a third party piece of software wrongly listed many of their items at the wrong price including some at 1p.

I didn't participate but it does bring home that sometimes there are consequences to głitches. Earlier this year there was an issue with an item being listed (printer paper) and they cancelled the item, so I feel sure they could cancel if they wished? Yes some people will kick off with righteous indignation about it being wrong to cancel - but I would rather that than businesses go under.

It is a game, sometimes we win, sometimes we don't - but none of us win overall in the long game if the businesses are not there to play with :A.
