Hi
Any Google people out there who might be able to assist.
I would like apply a rule (filter / lab / whatever) within Google mail so that when I send e-mail to a specific recipient Google asks 'Are You Sure'; same concept the the Lab for attachments.
The reason for this is that I have a colleague with a very similar name (same forename, similar surname) to a client and I have sent internal e-mails to the client - not good.

Dont think there is a way to do this.
In Lab you can suggest a feature.
There is a Lab which allows you to enable the abilty to undo send which you can set a dealy of up to 30 secounds which gives you 30 secs to check you have sent to right person if not you can press undo.0 -
Yes, I have this enabled but this 'error' only cam to light 18 hours after sending the e-mail.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

A simple work round to this would be to create a Contact Group using a nickname for each of them and only add one contact to each group.
Then you simply type the group name in the to field.
There is already a nickname field in contacts but you can't use it in the to field. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Hi
Thanks for that... I'll give it a go (could be a nice neat simple solution).Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
