My job has become under threat of redundancy at work. My employer, however, is offering me an enhanced agreement to leave straightaway. This payment could be a substantial sum.
If I agree to take it, do I register immediately as unemployed? Do I qualify for benefits? Are personal savings taken into account when benefits are claimed?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Good news on the JSA from day one. I have applied online and am waiting for an interview appointment to come thru. Tho I have left it a month to apply, as I thought that my PILON would mean I am not entitled to any immediate benefits. ie I was made redundant on November 30th but had a 1 month PILON payment.0
