Tax and change of reg'd keeper.
Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me.
My husband has been driving one of his boss's vans for the past 12 months. His boss is the owner and reg'd keeper, and the van is taxed until April.
His boss is going to put my husband as the reg'd keeper as it makes sense due to hubby being the sole driver etc. His boss will still be the legal owner and this will be acknowledged in a contract they're signing.
However, we're wondering what will now happen to the remaining 4 months tax? Will this be refunded to his boss and hubby have to pay, or as his boss is still the legal owner, will the tax remain valid.
Also, as an aside, in case it makes any difference, the car is currently registered to "XYZ ltd, Boss" and when logbook changes hands it will be "XYZ ltd, Hubby"

On change of RK the tax will be refunded to the previous RK and the new RK will be responsible for ensuring the vehicle is taxed and insured. I cannot see the point in what they are doing.0

If it's still going to be registered to the company, why even put an individual's name on it?0
