We had a flood in September. Leak in en suite, bedroom, landing through to the lounge. We had dehumidifies and hot air blowers for eight days. However I have notice that some of our books pages and dust covers are now discoloured as are some of our pictures. Today I removed our passports from the safe in our wardrobe and they feel damp and musty. The water was in our room but not into the built in wardrobe and the safe is on the bulkhead not the floor. Some of our clothes are smelling damp. No sign of mould. Do you think these problems are from the flood and equipment. I am not after claiming for this as we have sorted the insurance bit now anyway. Just curious to why this has happened.

I wonder how much water is in the air in your house. Do you have a condensation issue too? If so then perhaps a dehumidifier would be an ideaStart Feb 2013 £148,900
