Online switching services - First Utility Headache

I've gone through three different switching cashback websites in order to switch my duel fuel to first utility and every time I've received an email from FU confirming I've opted for electricity only and had to phone them up, cancel and start again.

The first application was through MSI's cheap energy club, second through confused.com and third through topcashback. I've checked my gas MPRN is correct so just can't see what the problem is.

Is anyone else experiencing this? It would be nice to get some sort of cash back which is why I'm reluctant to go directly with them when there are plenty of incentives on third party sites.

I would put it through again, if you receive the same email rather than cancelling I would contact the new supplier with your MPRN and gas meter serial number and ask them to add it to the application. Sounds like the Xoserve database may need a little updating. They should do this on your behalf.

It might be the case that the electricity supply comes over a couple of days earlier but if you make this call immediately it should be easy to fix.
