Patio Door Security Lock

I'll start by apologising if I'm in the wrong place but this is the first time I've ever used a forum!
My 92 year old mother was recently broken into via patio door. I have seen a 'central rail key operated lock' but have no idea where to find one. Can anyone give me suggestions where I could get one from.
The door's a double leaf but only 1 door handle.

I'm not an expert but, from what I can see, this central locking system is supplied with the door. I don't know if it can be retro-fitted. Is it a wooden or PVCu door/frame?Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
