Landlord pays for draught-proofing windows?

I have an old place and I just realised I get the inevitable(?) draft from the old wooden windows. Is it my landlords responsibility to sort this? The landlords DIY guy is coming down tomorrow to sort out a draft problem with the door, so I wanted to find an answer to this before he comes. Thanks.

Nope. If the windows must be wood then its your responsibility to keep them sealed as best as you can. They will be a little draughty anyway so thick curtains might be required.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

i have heavy curtains and a heavy throw in front of mine. Alternatively you can buy special plastic sheets and attach them to the window frame (shrinking them so they are tight with a hairdryer).., or tape cling film to the frame. However, this could also pull paint off the frame.0

There is no responsibility on him to do this. He may well wish to do so so keep a good tenant happy/improve the health of his asset.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
