Latest blog from The Prankster gives a detailed account of how the tenacity and determination of a Senior Lecturer defeated District Enforcement at Stoke on Trent County Court.
Interesting, and very satisfying, reading.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
I will have to wait to I get homwe to look at this as my work PC filter won't give me access to blogs.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
So glad to see that lot lose in court. Staffs Uni should have drummed them out a year or more ago, IMHO, and should be ashamed of the way they treat staff and students over this matter. This is NOT parking management, this is allowing people to park in disabled bays/obstructively, in exchange for a pile of money to DE, run by Dyl Kurpil. They deliberately do NOT mark areas with double yellows and admit that not marking areas is a crucial part of the way their so called business 'works'. DE's business model flies in the face of the local Fire Department's report which caused the hapless Uni to take this on in the first place.
And as the Prankster says, one wonders why there was NO tendering process and DE just got the contract, seemingly no questions asked.
Almost like when a firm has a relative connection or something - very odd...! We haven't heard the last of this debacle at Staffs University and staff and students should beware. If I was helping one of my kids decide on a University right now, an unwarranted blame culture and threats of court like this, to young students as well as staff, would put us right off, obviously.
DE are also involved in an interesting situation with a certain council further South...again, time will tell, eh Dyl?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The Council FOI is in hand, no worries, and the Uni has previously been FOI'd which is how the defendant had a redacted copy of the contract and other info.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As I posted on another thread, you've left that chance far too late, you should have asked ages ago (but she would not have attended). I hope you have put together an evidence pack in triplicate and already served a copy of the evidence to DE and the Court? Hope it includes the case lost at Staffs Uni by DE the other week v Mr Hudson as blogged about by the parking prankster?
Hope you are not just arguing 'the charge is not a GPEOL' (because...it isn't meant to be).
Was it for the heinous crime of being parked over or outside of bay lines in a place where there are NO bay lines?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
