BrandAlley - item has TK Maxx label

Just wanted a bit of advice really please? I received an item from BrandAlley by the brand Fever London and it has a TK Maxx price ticket on for £24.99, but i was charged £29.50 for it (would have been more, but i got an extra 20% off at the time)
Is it legal for them to do that? To me it seems wrong for them to say they're getting it direct from the Brand, but really they're buying TK Maxx stock, marking it up and selling it on?!

Depends upon the actual wording and was it misleading or not .
Perfectly legal for them to buy mark it up and sell on .
  • Yeah, it's the misleading bit that bothers me... their website says:
    It works like this:

    1. You order and we give you an estimated shipping date
    2. The sale ends and we place one big order with the brand
    3. The brand sends the products to our UK warehouse, where we pack and ship them to you

So, to me, implying you're getting it direct from the brand, not via TK Maxx's bargain bin.. :)

Maybe somebody bought it from TK Maxx but returned it to Brand Alley or the designer?

Buying for £25 and selling on ebay for £29.50 (or £36). After ebay and paypal take their fees there wouldn't be any (significant) profit.

Where does eBay come into it?
