ipad to chromecast

worried_jim

So I now have the excellent Chromecast for £18 and love it. I have also just got a free month on amazon prime on my ipad air 2.

Is there a way I can get amazon through my ipad via chrome cast to my tv?

Or is there another way to connect my ipad to my tv (hard wire)?

The only apps which can cast to a Chromecast are those designed to do so. If the Amazon app hasn't been written this way ...

Cast screen to TV available on some products with later Android updates . Check if Apple allow this .

I'm not familiar with with all the ins and outs of Chromecast, but looking at an app (CastNow) which apparently mirrors it with iOS, gets terrible reviews.
The easiest way is either via Apple TV or wired through a Lightning Digital AV adapter and normal HDMI cable.
Neither option is cheap am afraid, adapter comes in at £40 and Apple TV is £79 from Apple, but you may find them cheaper elsewhere.

I had the same dilemma and ended up going with Apple TV, as didn't want wires trailing.
