Capturing video, but want to edit on a different machine?

I'm capturing some video from a DV (tape) camcorder, but I need to be able to swap the resulting video file to my laptop, so I can take it round to the owner of the tape, and perform some editing (mostly removing the bits he doesn't want), before burning to DVD.
I'm using Windows Movie Maker, to do the capturing.
One of the options is "Create clips when wizard finishes".
Should I un-check this, as I'll be editing on a my laptop, so will be importing the file to Windows Movie Maker on that?

I *think* the 'create clips' functionality will just break a 60' tape at all the timecode breaks, so it's unlikely you'll want a single sequence spanning 2 clips without trimming/editing anyway.0
