Dodgy SD card?

I bought one of those cheap SD cards on ebay from China for only a couple of quid instead of circa a tenner or whatever. It seemed ok at first but now when I transfer music from my laptop onto the phone it gets messed up and plays the wrong songs or obliterated versions of them. Is this a simple problem with the SD card or something else?

Are you sure it's not a problem with the phone?
I took a camcorder with me to Berlin, and when I came to use it, it said "No Card".
I assumed the card had gone wrong.
Turned out the card was fine, and it was the camcorder which had gone all cattywampus.0 -
