Switching energy providers

Hi,
My fixed term deal with Ovo is due to finish on the 22nd January and it has £60 exit fees before that.
I am looking to move over to EDF. When should I do this so I don't pay the exit fees to Ovo?

As required by OFGEM, OVO should contact you 49 to 42 days before the end of your fixed tariff. On receipt of this communication you are free to switch without fear of any penalty. If your switch date takes you past the end of your current contract date with OVO you will remain on your present tariff. Do not cancel your DD with OVO until you have received your final bill.
